description: Active Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic TM is a manufacturing process based on the application of micrometric Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) powders at a high temperature. The production process is applied to slabs of porcelain stoneware. Thanks to a photo-catalytic process, the presence of these powders means that materials can be made with real anti-pollution and anti-bacterial qualities, making an active and long-term contribution to guaranteeing improved environmental conditions. By exploiting the method of photocatalysis – in which a catalyst (in this case titanium dioxide) is able to act whenever it is radiated by sunlight or artificial light of the right wavelength that contains UVA rays – the air is purified of polluting organic substances. The company GranitiFiandre is certified EMAS and ISO 14001.
