The Collection Pietracotta di Paestum, draws inspiration from the territory of the archaeological site, a great city of Magna Graecia called firstly Poseidonia in honor of the god of the sea Poseidon, but very devoted to Hera and Athena.
Located between the Cilento and the Amalfi Coast, the ancient city of Paestum is famous for the three ancient Greek Doric temples, traced back to about 600-450 BC, which are till today in an excellent state of conservation.
Designated by Unesco World Heritage Site in 1998, Paestum is rich in history, with a thousand-year-old culture and is infused with nuances of colors, never banal, that characterize this wonderful land, full of charm and history.
And the same nuances of the sea, the sky, the moon, the mud, the earth and the lava, that invade the panorama of these ancient temples, have inspired the big range of colors of the Collection Pietracotta di Paestum by Antiche Fornaci D'Agostino, who with their intense chromatic variations, are easily placed in the modern living and in different contexts.
