Biographical notes
Anupama Kundoo’s architecture practice, started in 1990, demonstrates a strong focus on material research and experimentation towards an architecture that has low environmental impact and is appropriate to the socio-economic context. Her research-oriented practice was exhibited twice at the Venice Architecture Biennale, with the installation ‘Feel the Ground.Wall House 1:1’ in 2012 and ‘Building Knowledge, An inventory of strategies’ in 2016. Kundoo is currently working on a solo show at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art scheduled for 2020. She is currently Professor at FH Potsdam Germany and Visiting Professor at Universitaet Stuttgart.

She is the author of ‘Roger Anger: Research on Beauty/Recherche sur la Beauté, Architecture 1958-2008’ published in Berlin by Jovis Verlag in 2009, and has actively assisted chief architect Roger Anger with the development of the city plan of Auroville, an international city-in-the-making in South India founded in 1968 as a prototype for future cities. She has contributed to several publications related to affording inclusive urbanisation in the age of climate change.
